Nestled conveniently after a long flight from the UK, Drinkwater Guest Farm serves as a lovely one-night respite on the route to the Kwazulu-Natal coast. Arriving at this charming spot, we were greeted warmly by Marianna, who ensured our comfort from the start. The spacious room was impeccably clean, equipped with an electric kettle and ample storage for our travel bags. Dinner was a highlight, featuring homemade chicken pie and mutton stew paired with lovely wines - all at a price reminiscent of a single main course in the UK. the intimate dining atmosphere allowed for convivial exchanges among guests, although I couldn't help but notice the strained connections to the outside world with spotty Wi-Fi. Daybreak brought a hearty breakfast and a cozy sitting area, perfect for post-meal relaxation. All in all, the Drinkwater strikes a fine balance between luxury and value-a hidden gem worth considering for a brief stay.
